This isn’t so much funny as it is a fact of life:
No client, customer, co-worker, boss, or opposing counsel should ever suck the kindness out of you. No matter how hard they try! (And I do think some try exceptionally hard). Put a five minute delay on your out-going email. Wait 24-hours to pick up the phone. Smile when you are talking. Find something positive and say it out loud to someone. Take a break and read something hilarious–LAUGH!
All work is not created equal. Sometimes it really sucks. (And sometimes you aren’t getting paid to do it). Do it anyway. And do a good job.
